TLC MTB & Trail Run Codes of Conduct
If you get it, you will understand.
If not, maybe another ride?
Just saying...
Or as we always say D.B.A.P.B.L.
MTB Code of Conduct
Trail Run Code of Conduct
MTB Code of Conduct
- Respect the trail
- Respect the environment
- Respect wildlife
- No littering
- Respect your fellow rider
- Help others – you were a beginner once
- Respect the landowner – they make trails available for a race – not for your personal enjoyment when there isn’t a race – when a gate is closed, it’s closed – so don’t swear at landowners when confronted about trespassing
- If there’s a hill….get over it
- Respect the marshals and officials
- No princesses or drama queens allowed – this one is mainly for the real people
- Adhere to the basics
- Ride with a helmet fastened always
- Stick to the rules of the road – that means, stay on the left-hand side of the road. There’s nothing worse than trying to squeeze between two riders on each side of the road
- Train – well sort of…
- Pay it forward – help others in need – you may need help one day
- Respect the basics
- Bring a cell phone
- Bring your GPS
- Bring spares
- Carry enough liquid – for the ride. We will look after the rest
- If you are doing a race, your goodie bag isn’t always going to be like “The Platinum Collection”. Get over it. But we do try
- Don’t trash the organisers on Social Media – have the balls to chat to them first
- If racing, follow the arrows – not the person in front of you
- If you are tired and grumpy, take a few minutes to get your breath back. Don’t snap at other riders and certainly not at the organisers or marshals
- Enjoy it – we get it that fitness and health are a big part of what you do, but enjoy it as well.
- And finally – if you like what you see. Tell your friends to come and join in the fun. Join our Facebook Group and keep chatting to us
- Chill, Chat, Have a Cold One, Share Stories
