Race Start & Finish

PLEASE NOTE: The race start and finish will be at the Morgan Bay Hotel and not at the caravan park.

Post Race Burgers & Prize Giving

For those of you who didn’t pre-order your post race burger, they will be on sale on the lawns in front of the hotel – seaside – and they will also be operating a cash bar.

For those who ordered their burger and paid online, please make sure you get your red wrist band from our registration team when you collect your race number. No wrist band, no burger, or you will have to pay for it.

T-Shirts

If you entered before the 31st of August, be sure to check at registration, to see if you qualified for a free event T-Shirt.

Race medals

If you are entering on Saturday, please note that while we have made every effort to ensure enough finisher’s medals for all participants, we cannot guarantee availability for late entries.

Route Markings

The route is clearly marked and we will have marshals wearing white T-Shirts with the Investec Great Kei Trek logo on the front of the shirt. Please ignore other people who may pretend to be marshals.

The route will be marked with white A4 boards with GREEN arrows.

We will also make use of PINK stickers on the route to indicate that you are heading in the right direction. If you are unsure, stop and wait for other riders and re-group. All too often, we have a rider following another rider who has taken a wrong turn.

And finally, we will have arrows showing various turns for the different distances. Please obey these and take note of them. If you are doing the 16km for example, and you miss your turnoff, you may end up on the 53km. So please be vigilant.
