Magalies Rocks the Cradle

Welcome to the 2024 Magalies Rocks the Cradle Gravel/ MTB & Trail Meander.
It’s taking place on Saturday, the 24th of August at Die Krip, as part of the 2024 Landboufees, just outside of Magaliesburg.
Race Number Pickup
Wednesday the 21st of August from 12.30 to 17.00 – Venue: JoziGin, Bryanston, cnr Post House & Main
Alternatively, if you can’t make it on Wednesday, Saturday the 24th at Die Krip from 06.30 to 07.30.

6km & 11km Trail – 08.30
THE ROUTE AND MARKINGS
PLEASE NOTE: The 70km & 45km will be GPS marking only
The 25km Gravel/ MTB route will be clearly marked with Green Arrows on a white A4 perspex board, and the route will also have pink stickers showing you the way.
Trail Runners will follow PINK STICKERS

45km Route Profile: Elevation - 428m
25km Route Profile: Elevation - 235m
Water Tables
Gravel/ MTB
70km – 3 water tables: 8km, 21km & 55km
45km – 2 water tables: 27km & 40km
25km – 2 water tables: 8km & 21km
Trail Run/ Walk
6km – no water table, but bottled water will be provided for each participant
11km – 1 water table – details to be shared at race briefing
17km – 2 water tables – details to be shared at race briefing
Rules of the Road
Please obey all instructions and please remember that if you are riding on a dirt or tar road, you need to obey the rules of the road. We do not have road closure, you DO NOT have right of way.
Marshals
Please always obey their instructions. Failure to do so will result in your immediate disqualification. This is important for your safety and that of others.
Prize Giving
This will take place at 11.00.
There are no prizes for the overall winners, but rather lucky draw prizes. Remember that this is a Gravel Cruise and it’s more about the fun and “Gees” than the race.
Catering
There will be drinks and snacks available for purchase as well as some awesome Craft Beer, courtesy of Roeks Beer – aka Mogallywood

Late Entries
We will be accepting entries on the day. We don’t accept Credit Cards, so please bring cash.
